The Ministry of Emergency Management recently held a regular press conference for March, at which Sun Qingguo, Director of the Department of Safety Foundation of the State Administration of Mine Safety, answered questions from journalists on the intelligent construction of coal mines.

Sun Qingguo said that in recent years, the Ministry of Emergency Management and the State Administration of Mine Safety have made new progress and breakthroughs in promoting the intelligent construction of mines, which are mainly reflected in five aspects:

01 is to make new progress in the number of intelligent working faces

At present, the number of intelligent mining faces in China has reached 813, an increase of 65% compared with 2020. Among them, there are 477 coal mining faces, an increase of 43% compared with 2020.The number of excavation faces is 336, an increase of 109 percent compared with 2020.Twenty-nine kinds of coal mine robots have been applied in more than 370 mine sites.

02 New progress has been made in promoting the reduction of workers

Intelligent construction has effectively promoted the "one priority and three reductions". Since 2016, the number of underground coal mine workers in China has decreased by a total of 370,000.For example, over the past five years of construction, Shandong Province has reduced 34,000 workers from suffering, fatigue, dirty or dangerous jobs; Henan Province has reduced over 5,000 workers; and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has reduced 4,376 workers.The number of workers working in fully-mechanized coal mines in Ma Diliang, Inner Mongolia and Jinjitan, Shaanxi has been reduced to less than 80 per shift, and the number of workers at fully mechanized mining faces has been reduced to 3-5.

03 New progress has been made in technological innovation

The first full-section rectangular intelligent roadheader in China has been successfully developed, with the monthly tunneling capacity reaching 3000 meters, and the intelligent operation of "digging anchor support" has been realized. Independent research and development of 10 meters of high mining height intelligent hydraulic support, reaching the world advanced level;The intelligent operation system for underground water exploration and discharge, intelligent anti-impact pressure relief equipment, intelligent anti-impact limit man system and so on have been applied successively, and anti-surge and water-drilling robots have been finalized and massproduced;The number of unmanned vehicles in open-pit coal mines reached 146; Intelligent violation control system has been applied in many coal mines.

04 is to achieve new progress in policy project support

Together with relevant departments, it issued the Guide to Intelligent Coal Mine Construction (2021 Edition) and the "14th Five-Year Plan" for Robot Industry Development;Coordinated with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to establish research and development projects for key generic technologies in the process of intelligent coal mine construction, with a planned investment of 460 million yuan.Fourteen provinces (autonomous regions), including Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Henan and Shaanxi, have successively issued guiding documents on intelligent construction to provide policy, financial and project support for intelligent construction.

05 new progress has been made in the formulation of standards

It guided and promoted the formulation of 92 standards for intelligent control system and intelligent production auxiliary system in coal mines.To guide the establishment of the Mining Industry Group of the Big Data Standards Working Group of the National Beacon Commission, organize the compilation of the Standards for Intelligent Mine Data Fusion and Sharing, etc., and further improve the intelligent mine standard system
